Company History
B&L Cabinets has been in business since the 1980s. Bob Moran started this company with his business partner Linda; together they set the foundation on which this company stands on today and have been at the forefront of custom cabinetry ever since. In 2023, the company was acquired by Robert Melara, the CEO of Perfection Installation Corp., who brings over 20 years of experience in the millwork industry. Under new leadership, B&L Cabinets continues to uphold its tradition of exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding service, delivering high-quality, custom solutions for both residential and commercial projects.

With a career spanning from the workshops of California to the high-profile job sites of Washington, D.C., Robert Melara is a veteran of the millwork and installation industry. After years of leading successful projects on the East Coast, Robert returned to his California roots and acquire B&L Cabinets, a move that allowed him to scale his expertise and establish a permanent West Coast legacy.
Robert’s leadership is defined by a “boots-on-the-ground” work ethic and a deep commitment to family values. Today, B&L Cabinets is a true family-run operation, with Robert’s sons working alongside him to uphold the highest standards of the craft. A father of six and a passionate sports fan, Robert believes that the strength of any project comes from the strength of the team—and the family—behind it.
